We design intimate dive trips. We treat your data the same way: with discretion, care, and only what is strictly necessary. This page explains what we collect, why, and the rights you keep over it.

Abyssal Expeditions is a travel agency specialized in tailor-made scuba diving trips across Asia. For any privacy-related question, contact us at hello@abyssal.travel.
2. Data we collect
We collect the information you provide when requesting a quote (name, email, phone, departure city, project details), as well as anonymous analytics data (pages visited, device type, approximate location) to improve our website.
3. How we use your data
Your data is used solely to: (a) reply to your trip request, (b) draft and send personalized proposals, (c) operate your booking once confirmed, (d) send the monthly journal if you subscribe. We never sell your data.
4. Sharing with partners
To organize your trip, we share strictly necessary information (names, dates, certifications) with our local partners — dive centers, liveaboards, hotels, transport providers — bound by confidentiality.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies to operate the website and anonymous analytics cookies (no advertising tracking). You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
6. Data retention
Quote requests are kept for 3 years. Booking files are kept for 10 years (legal accounting obligation). Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR, you can access, rectify, delete, port or restrict the processing of your personal data, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@abyssal.travel — we reply within 30 days.
8. Security
Your data is hosted on EU servers and protected by industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES at rest).

We may update this policy. The current version is dated and always available on this page.
